SLAIT interview
If you were going to do an interview online would you hope to have a voip option? of course you would. But what if the voip isn't set up on the interviewees side. H,mmm. well it makes for an interesting development in Machinamentary filmmaking. As it turns out it's not as bad as it may seem. It's a little like interviewing Stephen Hawking. Oooohhh dear me. Did he really say that? Yikes. Really though, it's an interesting development in the differences between documentary vs machinamentary. I have in the window recorded, the text chat. Post production will simply need to consider alternatives in editing to make it work. I'm kind of glad it happened actually. a pleasant surprise with both interviews so far. Rick and Kirk are the Thrsday victims, but I'll be out numbered so we'll see what surprises are in store for me then.

More interviews scheduled
Well I hope everyone had a good time at Emma. Looks like you had a hard working crew (except Dave).
I've got another interview scheduled inworld with Kirk Kezema and Rick Schwier whom I'm sure you all know. They've got a self-directed learning project in Second Life that we'll be discussing. Visit the UofS space here in SL
The third and final interview I'm arranging a time for is with Dr.Martha Burkle from SAIT in Calgary. Dr. Burkle has designed a series of Lab spaces in SLAIT, sait's inworld campus, for training purposes. I met Martha Burkle at this years CNIE conference in Ottawa. Martha delivered a CIDER session demonstrating SLAIT earlier this year. You can see her elluminate presentation here.
These three interviews will demonstrate three different uses of SL for education. Nice.
